Summary: I recently stayed at Hôtel de Ville in Gruyères (***) and had a fantastic experience. This charming and quaint establishment perfectly complements the historic and picturesque setting of the village. I stayed in the Edelweiss room, which was spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable—a great retreat after a day of exploring. The attention to detail in the room’s decor and amenities made for a cozy yet refined stay. The restaurant is also a standout feature of the hotel. The food was excellent, easily one of the best dining options in the village. From traditional Swiss dishes to well-executed regional specialties, every meal was a delight. Given the quality of both the hotel and the restaurant, the pricing is reasonable, especially for Switzerland.
